Snow Ice Cream

If you are like our family right now, we are stuck inside because of the snow! Here’s a great idea if you are also stuck inside and need something to do with the kiddos and all that snow outside. I like this recipe because it's easy and I score major mom points because my kids think that it’s pretty cool that I’m actually letting them eat snow.

Snow Ice Cream

Ingredients:

1 c. heavy whipping cream
½ c. sugar
2 T. vanilla
8 cups really, really, REALLY clean snow

Whip cream, sugar and vanilla together until small peaks form. Add snow. Spoon into bowls and drizzle with hot fudge. Freeze any leftovers.

Hot Fudge Sauce

Ingredients:

¾ c. semisweet chocolate chips
¼ c. butter
2/3 c. sugar
2/3 c. evaporated milk

In a small sauce pan melt the chocolate and the butter. Add the sugar and gradually stir in the evaporated milk. Bring to a boil then reduce heat to low. Boil gently for 8 minutes stirring frequently. Remove from heat. Serve over ice cream. Cover and chill any leftovers. Makes 1 ½ cups. Reheat in microwave 15-30 seconds.
