Have you had time to play in the dirt lately? Maybe plant some flowers or sow some seeds for a vegetable garden? There is a lot of fun to be had in the dirt so get everyone out there diggin' and plantin'. When our kids were younger, I recall one spring , trying to teach our brood about having faith, we all piled into the van and headed to the garden center. We let each child choose a plant and a package of seeds. We then went home and began the dirt diggin'. We told them that their faith would grow much like a small plant or a seed if it was nutured, feed, watered and cared for. I am not sure how well the lesson on faith sunk in,( I think it took!) but we had an interesting garden that year with lots of variety and not much rhyme or reason. It was a fun family project that involved us all and we remember, more than the crazy mixture of "crops" we harvested that summer, just spending together time and diggin' in the dirt!
